Which West Palm Beach Water Park is the Right Choice for You?

Two of our favorite West Palm Beach water parks are located conveniently close to Casa Grandview. To figure out which location is best suited for you and your family, review our guide to each park. And, if you can’t make up your mind, why not try spending a day at both!

Rapids Water Park

With forty-two different rides, slides and attractions, Rapids Water Park has something for everyone! If you’re looking for a thrill, you’ll love the Black Thunder ride, a dark tunnel slide with a 45-degree drop. Most of the attractions take place in the total darkness allowing you to swirl through twists and turns on your multi-person raft before plummeting into a vortex funnel. You must be at least four feet tall and weight a maximum of 250 pounds to ride Black Thunder. After that exciting ride, you can check out the Brain Drain! It’s a seventy-foot enclosed flume slide that shoots two riders down simultaneously on separate different tracks.

If you’re not a big fan of scary rides, Rapids Water Park has plenty of other options for you, too like the Raging Rapids. With plunges and dips and a partially enclosed area, the ride is tame enough for all ages. Or, you can try hopping in the Big Surf, a 25,000-square foot wave pool. Once you’ve had your fill of adrenaline, grab a float and relax as you drift along the Lazy River. There’s truly something for everyone at Rapids Water Park!

Calypso Bay Water Park

Less than twenty-five minutes away from our bed and breakfast is the Calypso Bay Water Park. Calypso Bay is a smaller park than Rapids but just as much fun. Check out their two giant, four-story slides, the kids’ water play area, or the giant lap pool with diving boards. And don’t forget to try floating down the almost 900-foot lazy river that takes you around the big slides. This park an excellent place to bring the kids for a day, grab a snack from the concession stand, and cool off from the hot Florida weather.
