Unforgettable Attractions
Planetarium
The planetarium at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is state-of-the-art. It’s also the first and only public planetarium in Palm Beach County. You won’t want to miss their full-dome digital video shows on everything from dinosaurs to sea monsters. Immerse yourself in these story-driven adventures.
Aquarium
The Aquariums of the Atlantic is a 3,000 square foot aquatic playground for some of Florida’s most beautiful fish. Observe an array of environments, from artificial reefs to open ocean. Don’t forget to check out Shipwreck Cove, the aquarium’s largest predator tank. You’ll see sharks, eels, and barracudas swim around the remains of a creepy Florida shipwreck.
If you love the wildlife at the Aquarium, you’ll love Manatee Lagoon. This Palm Beach attraction is a great place to see manatees in the wild!
Exhibits
The Science Center is home to some of the best interactive exhibits in the state. The Out of This World exhibit features real space rocks and artifacts. The Nanotechnology Exhibit allows visitors to build a giant model of a carbon nanotube, experience the effects of static electricity, and more. When you explore the indoor-outdoor Dinosaur Invasion Exhibit, you’ll be in the midst of life-size animatronic Triceratops, Raptors, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and even the giant Spinosaurus!
Unique Events
There are plenty of educational and entertaining events hosted by the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium. Visitors love the Nights at the Museum on the last Friday of each month. The Science Center opens its doors from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. for a night of themed fun! Make a science craft, see a show at the planetarium, or look up at the night sky at the only public observatory in Palm Beach County.
