Root, Root, Root for the Home Team at Cardinals Spring Training
What Is Spring Training?
Spring training is an exciting time in Major League Baseball. Winter is over, the sun is shining, and a new baseball season is right around the corner. The major league teams are divided into two leagues, the Grapefruit League and the Cactus League. The Grapefruit League practices in Florida, while the Cactus League plays in Arizona. The players arrive in February, team practice begins, and exhibition games typically start at the beginning of March. Each team plays a total of 33 spring training games before the highly anticipated Opening Day.
Who Are the St. Louis Cardinals?
There’s nothing like baseball, especially for the dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fans. The Cardinals follow their minor league associate team, the Palm Beach Cardinals, down to South Florida for spring training. St. Louis fans trade in their beloved Ballpark Village for the Palm Beaches to see the Cardinals in action.
The Cardinals spring training games provide exclusive player access in a much warmer setting. Plus, there’s even a chance to get up close to superstar athletes and coaches. What’s not to love?
When and Where Can I See a Game?
Join the Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium for their home spring training games. With a maximum capacity of fewer than 7,000 people, it’s a much more intimate setting than Busch Stadium in St. Louis. This Jupiter, FL baseball park is also home to the Miami Marlins spring training and four minor league teams throughout the year.
The stadium features a field box, Bullpen club, bleachers, and six luxury suites. For big groups of baseball aficionados, check out the Cassidy Cool Zone. This covered outdoor party deck area is perfect for a pre-game buffet and beverage along the right-field line. The exclusive treatment is something that’s fun for both kids and adults!
